OnePlus 6 –
A little while earlier, we have seen the leaks of the OnePlus 6 in several websites saying that the OnePlus 6 will be a “notched” smartphone. Well, the leaks seems to be true.
Yesterday, OnePlus revealed it’s latest flagship the OnePlus 6 with a sleek design & a notch on the top. The device itself is a 6.3 inch 19:9 OLED Display. Since the notch bothers few people, OnePlus has added an option to turn off the notch right of the box which is actually good considering the company listens to their customers.
Apart from the notch, the other big change with the OnePlus 6 is the new back. The OnePlus 6 also comes in a glass back variant replacing the unibody aluminum case which we already saw in the previous OnePlus devices. The device supports Android P beta which makes the OnePlus 6 one of the few devices to support the Android P beta. And the OnePlus 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC.
Pricing wise, the OnePlus 6 starts at $529 for the base variant which is packed with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Which makes it little more expensive than it’s previous devices. Even though the prices are high considering their previous smartphones, their competitors are the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Huawei P20 pro which is atleast couple hundred dollars more than the OnePlus 6 which makes this device the best at it’s price range. And OnePlus had also mentioned that the phone is ‘Daily water resistant’ which makes it a step better than it’s competitors.
The OnePlus 6 a better and improvised 20MP sensor on the rear and 16MP front shooter, Optical image stabilization has been added to both the rear cameras.
There are 3 variants –
6GB RAM + 64GB Storage = $529
8GB RAM + 128GB Storage = $ 579
8GB RAM + 256GB Storage = $629
The OnePlus 6 will launch today(17/05/18) in India and starts at Rs. 36,999 for the 64GB variant and Rs.39,999 for the 128GB storage variant. The prices for the 256GB variant hasn’t been revealed yet.
The phone will go for sale on May 21-22 on Amazon.in.
